Subject: Artful Thought Project
Goal: The children’s active imaginations are engaged with the creative activity
and use deductive reasoning and participate in discussion.
Activities: Use creative tools
1.) reading and imagination
2.) writing and imagination
3.) painting
Conclusion: The girls will accomplish the goal of the project.
The Artful Thought Project was completed by two 7th grade girls who read a story about Haiti and the rebuilding of homes by volunteers. A picture of a girl from Haiti was viewed and the new homes which required many hours of labor. The two girls proceeded to write a short story and a poem about such topic and then painted a picture. Reading, writing, painting and imagination were used to describe the little girl from Haiti and the new home she received. The goal was accomplished.
