Poetry by Jebbi Maguire

Leave

That leaf, left
blew high tangerine
was green
and the tree nods
waves windswept farewells
knows she’ll hear
from the ones who
wanted to stay close
just as soon
as another
lets go and
leaves

Silver Tongue

soft hands careless,
caress, less and more

and oh…

go, yeah,

like that

opposite idle
silver tongue flash
rushed quick
into the vein
feel slippery,
blue-hot,
rain
