Writing~ Dual Poetry with Charles Martin and River Urke

Duel Poetry a prearranged poetry writing challenge  between two people to evolve a new poem where each writer must respond to the other writer’s lines  (4 -5 ) until both parties agree that the poem is complete. ~

Charlie/slpmartin and I began writing dual poetry in September of 2010. As of today, we have written eight poems together through email messages.Charlie and I have the ability to blend our thoughts to feel as one voice even though we come from different generations and walks of life. I feel honored to have found a writing partner with such a strong connection and I am grateful for the friendship we have formed over time.

The piece below is the first poem we wrote together back in September of 2010.  To view the other seven poems we have written click on the link of duel poetry above. 🙂

  1. I love poetry collaborations…and frequently engage in ‘twitter’ collabs. These also serve to be wonderfully spontaneous, and offer delightful avenues to explore. I enjoyed this poem very much!

We would love to hear your thoughts :)
